Qurbani means sacrifice.

Every year during the Islamic month of Dhul Hijjah, Muslims around the world slaughter an animal – a goat, sheep, cow or camel – to reflect the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail, for the sake of God.

Qurbani gives hope

Throughout our lives, each and every one of us makes sacrifices to help our friends, family and neighbours. By sacrificing what we have to help those in need, we offer crucial solidarity and hope. Right now, a staggering 1 in 9 people worldwide are battling chronic hunger and struggle with poverty. However, there is hope: by giving Qurbani, you can feed a family in need this Eid.

4 Countries for Qurbani

Heal Humanity is giving you the chance to offer Qurbani in 4 much needy countries this year. Alhamdulillah, you can fulfil your obligation, and do so while feeding the poor and the forgotten. Let us adhere to the traditions of this noble religion in the coming days. Let us follow the Sunnah of our father, Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him), for whom nothing was dearer than to please the Almighty.

‘Whoever offer a sacrifice after the (Eid) prayer, has completed his rituals (of qurbani) and has succeeded in following the way of the Muslims.’ [Bukhari]
